Project/Program Overview

The Co-op Program Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting more senior personnel in the financial control, budgeting, monitoring and reporting of program financial data.


Our first and foremost priority remains the health and safety of our colleagues. As a result, this role will be working remotely for the foreseeable future. The primary location of this role is Calgary or Ottawa.

Responsibilities

TYPICAL DUTIES

  • Helps ensure that on program initiation, appropriate funding is available and the project work statement, contract requirements and applicable approved estimate are compatible.
  • Assists in the co-ordination and development of project work order breakdown structures, consistent with contract requirements, and operating department needs.
  • Aids in provision of budgets to the line divisions/departments consistent with the approved estimate.
  • Ensures timely preparation of basic financial reports required by the program.
  • Assists with maintaining cost accounts and activities associated with financial closeout of programs
  • Aids in the continuous measurement of cost against original objectives.
  • Provides input as appropriate to the costing associated with changes introduced to active programs.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Working towards a Bachelor of Commerce Degree or equivalent training and experience in related fields

Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
