Co-op IT Operations Student 8 Month

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team were every day brings challenges and opportunities to learn new skills and practice your existing skills. Some examples include assisting in the installation of new servers and services, using coding languages to create new applications, completing enhancements to current applications and providing automation for repeatable tasks. Based remotely:

Our first and foremost priority remains the health and safety of our colleagues. As a result, this role will be working remotely for the foreseeable future. The primary location of this role is Ottawa.

In this role you will

• Support Wintel - PowerShell - Active Directory - OS
• Support Unix/Linux - shell scripting - automation - OS
• Setup and monitor networking - Cisco configuration/ Palo Alto

Qualifications

• Scripting experience in one of the areas listed would be an asset
• Fundamental understanding of Server and Desktop Operating systems
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Good communication (written and verbal) skills
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
