Co-op System Integration Validation & Verification Engineering Analyst, LTSSC

Project/Program Overview

We currently have a co-op opportunity for our System Integration Validation & Verification team within the Land and Joint Solutions Area. As part of the team and under supervision you will work within a system integration team of 9-10 testers, performing integration and verification of software intended for use in military headquarters for planning, deployment, and battle management. This will include assisting the team in the testing of software ranging from device level firmware to user interfaces being developed for the Land Command Support System.

Based on-site and remotely:

This role will be a combination of working remotely and onsite at our Ottawa office. We have a number of measures in place for onsite working – our top priority remains the health and safety of our colleagues

Responsibilities

The responsibilities and range of activities will vary, but in general will include:

• Assist with the review of subsystem and product requirements specifications, interface control documents, design documents and use cases.
• Develop and execute product integration and verification test procedures of various scope and complexity based on provided product level designs.
• Analyze, interpret and document test results and develop product integration and verification test reports.
• Identify, investigate and document defects, and verify solutions.
• Generate, maintain and improve lab scripts for automated testing.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or applicable scientific discipline is required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, problem solving and analysis skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Enthusiastic contributor, willing to learn new skills, and takes pride and ownership of work.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
