Project/Program Overview

Our Land & Joint Solutions team provides assured information distribution and management in mission-critical operational environments where conditions are harsh, austere and hostile to ensure the right information, gets to the right place, at the right time, to enable the right actions.

Our capabilities and services include:

  • Communications and Networking – The Tactical Internet 
  • Cyber Security and Defence 
  • Command and Control – C2 systems through to information fusion and decision support
  • Complex C4ISR System of System Integration Challenges
  • Smart Displays
  • Advanced Vehicle Electronic Systems

Responsibilities

The responsibilities and range of activities may vary, but in general will include:

  • Performing structural requirements analysis and maintenance
  • Performing data integrity analysis
  • Prepare integration test plans, test procedures and test reports in accordance with company and customer standards
  • Perform system integration testing, record results and conduct analyses of test data
  • Designing and developing requirements analysis tools
  • Designing and developing data integrity tools used for validation
  • Designing and developing database management tools
  • Investigating and responding to problem reports
  • Performing webpage (TWIKI) changes and maintenance
  • Supporting the software and hardware teams
  • General lab support

Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalen
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Enthusiastic contributor, willingness to learn new skills and takes on ownership of work
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, with minimum supervision
  • Some knowledge of DXL (database programming language)

Assests 

  • Knowledge and use of a configuration management tool would be an asset
  • Knowledge and use of a requirements management tool would be an asset
  • Knowledge and use of a problem reporting tool would be an asset
  • Experience with any of the following tools are highly desirable
    • Rational ROSE, ClearCase and ClearQuest
    • DOORS
    • Microsoft Visio
    • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Some scripting experience would be an asset
    Some data analysis and metrics reporting would be an asset

Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
